Frank started his career as a traditional actuary, and transitioned to non-traditional actuarial work when he joined Google as their first actuary in 2012. He joined Uber in 2014 and currently is a Vice President of Applied Science in Core Services. His team consists of actuaries and data scientists responsible for providing insights and analytical solutions that serve all of Uber's users.
Frank holds a B.A. in Music and a Ph.D. in Mathematics both from UCSD. He is currently President Elect of the Casualty Actuarial Society and has served in various Board and volunteer roles with the CAS

Petar Jevtic is an Assistant Professor at Arizona State University School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. Previously, he was Assistant Professor at McMaster University, where he also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship. Primarily he is an applied statistician and probabilist whose research interest is in risk modeling. He has published in premier actuarial, statistics, and theoretical mathematics journals. He has received funding from NSF and other federal sources, multiple grants for the Society of Actuaries, and a grant from the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Sooie-Hoe Loke is an Associate Professor at Central Washington University, and is currently a Visiting Associate Professor at UCSB. He obtained his doctoral degree in Mathematics from Oregon State University and completed postdoctoral work at the University of Waterloo. He is an Associate Editor of Variance and his recent actuarial research interests are inclusive insurance and value-based healthcare.

Pavel Shevchenko is a Professor in the Department of Actuarial Studies and Business Analytics and Co-Director of the Centre for Risk Analytics at Macquarie Business School, Australia. Prior to joining Macquarie University in August 2016, he worked for Australian Government national science agency (CSIRO Australia) during 1999-2016, holding the position of a Senior Principal Research Scientist during 2012-2016. Since 1999, Prof Shevchenko has worked in the area of risk analytics, leading research and industry commercial projects on: modelling of operational and credit risks; longevity and mortality, retirement products; option pricing; insurance; modelling commodities and foreign exchange; and the development of relevant numerical methods and software. Prof Shevchenko has published extensively in academic journals, consulted for major financial institutions, and is a frequent presenter at industry and academic conferences. His publication records include one research monograph, two co-authored research monographs, over 80 journal papers, and over 80 technical reports.

Lori Weyuker is an independent consultant and actuary in the InsurTech arena, the health sector and the employee benefit space. Previously, Lori was Chief Pet Insurance Actuary at Nationwide. She is a seasoned actuary with more than 15 years of experience in the actuarial and analytics space. Lori currently serves on the board of advisors to an insurance organization. She is a frequent contributor to SOA events having presented on a large variety of topics including Healthcare Price Transparency, Predictive Modeling in Healthcare, Healthcare Start-ups, International Healthcare policy, Pet Insurance and Leadership topics. In addition, Lori is a published author of predictive modeling research and multiple articles published in various actuarial journals. She is a previous Chair to the SOA Health Section Council and has consulted on Healthcare Policy in a variety of countries including Germany, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica and Guatemala. Lori's current focus is on the innovation of insurances. Lori serves on an SOA InsurTech advisory group, is a recent past Chair of the SOA Entrepreneurial and Innovation Section and is the current Chair of the SOA Leadership and Development Section Council.

Ming Yi is currently a Pricing Actuary with Reliance Matrix. She was born and raised in China and has worked across three countries with 15 years of actuarial practice in insurance business. She is motivated to interpret and convert technical Actuarial work to inform business decisions. Ming is inspired daily by her husband Dr. Pedersen and their two children. In her free time, Ming is a self-taught tennis player and competes in a USTA league at 4.0 level.
